Rabbi Ralph Dalin

Rabbi Ralph A. Dalin graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Berkeley. He was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary, where he also earned a master's degree and completed doctoral studies in liturgy and medieval Hebrew poetry. His studies also included two years at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
A native of San Francisco, Rabbi Dalin was a congregational rabbi for two decades on the east coast, before returning to California. 
Rabbi Dalin is the Jewish Community Chaplain for the Jewish Federation of San Diego County. He also serves as Rabbinic Director of Ohr Ami - the Jewish Hospice Program of LightBridge Hospice & Palliative Care. Rabbi Dalin has taught in our community's Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning for over fifteen years and has been an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of San Diego.
