Anastasia Master Class

From the Tony Award®-winning creators of the Broadway classic Ragtime, this dazzling show transports us from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing conman and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love, and family.

Seven Master Class

Seven is a riveting documentary play in which seven women give voice to the voiceless. Created with the support of Vital Voices Global Partnership, the play is a collaboration between the playwrights and seven female activists from around the globe who faced life-threatening obstacles before bringing heroic changes to their home countries of Pakistan, Nigeria, Ireland, Afghanistan, Guatemala, Russia and Cambodia. Their stories of overcoming adversity to effect real change and improve the lives of women will inspire everyone. L.A. Theatre Works has been the foremost radio theater company in the United States for four decades and is broadcast weekly on public radio stations and the BBC. The cast, TBA, includes recognizable and respected television, theater, and film actors.

It's Hard to be The Bard

Students will spend 3 weeks training with a JCompany resident acting coach, Erin Petersen, as you learn classic warm-ups, practice scenes with your fellow actors, and work on creating characters from Shakespearean theatre.

Sundays With Shakespeare

This is an ideal class for beginning theatre students! Students will learn Shakespeare scenes (for beginners!) and learn how to portray the dramatic - and sometimes over the top - characters of Shakespearean theatre. Our resident acting coach will instruct students on fun techniques that will further their growth as performers and strengthen their confidence in any situation.

Are you ready to rock your Matilda audition? Be prepared by learning vocal warm ups, singing techniques, even some songs from Matilda!

Join Matilda choreographer Erin Peterson and get prepared to be Revolting Children in this Matilda themed class! We'll break out all the funky moves as well as learn new technique each week!

JCompany JUNIOR Winter Session

Showcase Date: February 23, 2020
JUNIOR allows our youngest artists, 4-7 years old, to learn the basics of theatre while creating fun, lively characters from some of the best children’s stories and shows (Winnie the Pooh, The Wizard of Oz, Finding Nemo and more). Throughout this nine-week experience, students will tap into their imagination and learn acting techniques to help them build confidence onstage. The JCompany JUNIOR experience culminates in an exciting showcase for friends and family. This is the perfect opportunity for our youngest artists to grow before joining JCompany mainstage shows! No audition necessary.

Ages: 4-7

As One Vocal Ensemble 19-20

JCompany’s AS ONE Vocal Ensemble is a performance training group for grades 2-7, where you will learn the art of choral singing, make new JCompany friends, and become a better performer!

Performances & Recitals: To be announced and ongoing throughout the 27th JCompany season.

Rehearsals: Are held once weekly on Mondays from 6:15–7:15 p.m.
