Vocal Technique for Theatre

This class teaches young artists performance-level vocals and techniques in a fun and safe environment. Students will sing through many songs and shows of various musicals of all types, focusing on the different styles and techniques of musical theatre, and the basics of reading and understanding music.

Dance for Musical Theatre will allow students the opportunity to explore the world of dance while learning basic technique for the stage. Students can expect something different each and every week as we learn fun and exciting combinations inspired by musical theatre's best.

Dance Intensive

Give yourself the best shot at being cast in the Dance Ensemble with this class. Spend 3 weeks training with our acclaimed artist and choreographer, Michael Mizerany, as you learn classic phrases and movement combinations from our various shows.

A Taste of Shakespeare

Ages 7-11
This is an ideal class for beginning theatre students! Students will learn Shakespeare scenes (for beginners!) and learn how to portray the dramatic - and sometimes over the top - characters of Shakespearean theatre. Our resident acting coach will instruct students on fun techniques that will further their growth as performers and strengthen their confidence in any situation.

The Ensemblist Boot Camp

Are you ready to be the best ensemble member ever? Learn to perfect harmony singing, build your technique, and expand your vocal repertoire. In this class, we will work on material to make you a better performer and get you ready for your big break! This class is perfect for young artists who are looking to be the true "VIPs" of Broadway....the ENSEMBLE!

A Bit of the Bard

Ages 12-19
Students will spend 3 weeks training with a JCompany resident acting coach as you learn classic warm-ups, practice scenes with your fellow actors, and work on creating characters from Shakespearean theatre. JCompany will be offering 4 of these special acting intensives throughout the year – join us for each one!

Fiddler on the Roof Master Class

You’ll be there when the sun rises on this new production, with stunning movement and dance from acclaimed Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter, based on the original staging by Jerome Robbins. A wonderful cast and a lavish orchestra tell this heartwarming story of fathers and daughters, husbands and wives, and the timeless traditions that define faith and family.

Upon signing up for this master class, you will receive ONE ticket to the performance. Parents are responsible for arranging student transportation to and from the performance.
