This staged reading tells of two men whom we get to know through letters they pen between 1932 and 1934.  It is the story of a Jew living in San Francisco and his German business partner who returns to live in Germany.  The New York Times Book Review judged it "the most effective indictment of Nazism to appear in fiction".
